Colleagues at BNP Paribas Personal Finance, the Solihull headquartered provider of consumer finance, brought in their children to attend the company’s second Bring Your Child to Work Day.
As part of its commitment to Diversity and Inclusion, BNP Paribas Personal Finance has six employee networks for its colleagues including the Parents and Carers Network which hosted the day. This flagship event is designed to welcome children into an office environment to learn more about where their parents work and to get involved in team building activities.
The day which had a CSR theme was a great success with presenters hearing from Marie Curie, the company’s chosen charity, and colleagues who have been involved in fundraising to support BNP Paribas Personal Finance’s CSR programme called ‘Make A Difference’. The children enjoyed getting involved in lots of activities including making fundraising packs and cards for children at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Jayne Licari, Brand, PR and External Communications Manager says “We want to bridge the gap between education and the workplace and by holding a Bring Your Child to Work Day even at this young age has significant benefits by helping children learn new skills in a different environment. The day was a great success and all parents were incredibly proud of the final presentations by the children who were confident, enthusiastic and took away a a greater insight of the working world.”.
