The annual Solihull BID Excellence Awards recognise the outstanding businesses large and small that make Solihull an exciting place to live and work. This year’s red-carpet ceremony will take place on November 23.
The awards features eight categories: Outstanding Team, Best Customer Service, Best Apprentice, Best Trainee, Outstanding Innovation and Enterprise, Best Independent, Best Hospitality and Leisure and Best Fundraising or Community Project. Nominations are being invited from the beginning of June.
Solihull BID director Melanie Palmer is looking forward to working with BNP Paribas Personal Finance on this year’s event and believes the addition of such a respected bank will add to its appeal.
“The Excellence Awards are going from strength to strength and we’re delighted such a respected banking brand has agreed to join our other brilliant line-up of sponsors.
“We will open the entry window for this year’s awards at the beginning of June and I’m sure our esteemed judging panel will find selecting the winners just as difficult as previous years.”
Jayne Licari, Brand, PR and External Communications Manager for BNP Paribas Personal Finance, said: “In Solihull we are the first consumer facing part of BNP Paribas in the UK, which is incredibly exciting for our business here and we have plans to double the size of our business by 2020.
“BNP Paribas has a very clear agenda about promoting diversity and inclusion and is delighted to be a Stonewall Top 100 employer.
“We want people to know we are here in Solihull, and we’re committed to staying here with plans to recruit more staff.
“To help this commitment to local skills we work with local schools and colleges to make them aware of opportunities for our Young Talent Programmes.
“BNP Paribas Personal Finance and Solihull are great places to work and even though we’re part of a global operation, we always want to retain our best staff locally, and for them to enjoy the company spirit and personality.
“The Solihull Excellence Awards are a perfect reflection of this and we’re delighted to be involved.”
