As a leading employer in the West Midlands, the Solihull based consumer finance company is delighted to announce it has joined over 270 organisations in signing the Women in Finance Charter. This is a commitment between HM Treasury and signatory firms to work together to make the financial services sector more balanced and fair. The Charter reflects the government’s aspiration to see gender balance at all levels across financial services firms.
BNP Paribas Personal Finance believes in providing an environment where people can be themselves enabling them to perform at their best. As well as being a Stonewall UK Champion this latest signing signals the company’s continued journey to champion diversity, fair working practices and gender balance.
By signing the Charter the company has pledged to have one member of its senior executive team who is responsible and accountable for gender diversity and inclusion and to have an intention to ensure the pay of the senior executive team is linked to delivery against internal targets on gender diversity.
Lynda Brennan, Director of HR, comments: “As an organisation we are deeply committed to being an inclusive employer and promoting diversity of all kinds in our workforce. Ensuring that women are represented at the highest levels of not only our own business, but the sector as a whole is critical to creating a stronger and more balanced industry for all. By signing the Charter we are proud to have pledged to take a leading role in that change. This is a fundamental part of our people strategy and vision to create a great place to work”
