BNP PARIBAS PERSONAL FINANCE UK NAMED AS A TOP EMPLOYER IN THE UK FOR 2022

At BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK, we’re delighted to have been recognised as one of the top employers in the country for the second year running.

This announcement makes us the fifth European division of BNP Paribas Personal Finance to achieve Top Employer status for the second year in a row, meaning the wider BNP Paribas Personal Finance group was also named a Top Employer in Europe for 2022. Only companies certified in a minimum of five European countries are awarded this special recognition.

Being named as a Top Employer by the Top Employers Institute (the global authority on recognising excellence in People Practices) showcases our dedication to a better world of work and reinforces our commitment to be a role model employer.

The Top Employers Institute programme certifies organisations based on the participation and results of its HR Best Practices Survey. This survey covers six HR domains consisting of 20 topics ranging from talent acquisition to wellbeing.

The topic score breakdown shared by the Top Employers Institute revealed that BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK scored 100% in eight topic areas for 2022: Values, Ethics & Integrity, Business Strategy, People Strategy, Organisation & Change, Digital HR, Performance and Engagement.

In our feedback from the awarding body, we were praised for our excellent working environment. We successfully implemented a ‘Smart Working’ model last year. This saw us upgrade our technology and put a number of other measures in place to enable a seamless transition to 50/50 hybrid home and office working.

Our strong focus on diversity and inclusion was also a key factor in the panel’s decision, and in 2021 we formalised our existing D&I colleague networks as well as establishing a new ‘Early Careers’ network, to help young people starting off in their careers have a voice and access learning and development opportunities. The role of these networks is to help enable meaningful change and provide support for our colleagues across the business to learn and develop.

Our clearly defined employee value proposition, including mental health support and a flexible benefits package, was also highly commended – as was our proactive approach to learning and development and internal progression. In order to evaluate our success internally, we have also put a number of clear and measurable KPIs in place that help ensure we deliver on our commitments around topics like sustainability and diversity.

As a result of our engagement strategy, our high levels of employee engagement were also applauded, with the strong results of our anonymous ‘Pulse Surveys’ helping us to understand what our colleagues are thinking. We have also established focus groups of ‘Change Makers’ to collaborate and implement actions based on these results.
