Leading finance provider BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK is inviting fintechs and tech businesses with expertise in AI to join its Connector Series event in collaboration with SuperTech — an organisation supporting tech innovation in the West Midlands.

Hosted at iCentrum Birmingham Innovation Campus on Wednesday 18th October between 9:30am and12:00pm, each company will take part in a high-value speed networking session.

As part of this, they will get the unique opportunity to meet top executives from a range of functions across the personal finance company, such as risk, finance and marketing, to discuss how they can use AI to supercharge its transformation plans.

What’s more, the tech companies will get to connect with potential future partners, raise awareness of their business within the West Midlands ecosystem and develop their understanding of AI-based solutions to inform the evolution of their business solutions.

And that’s not all — the only commitment for the event is time as there is no cost for businesses to participate.

This event follows the success of BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK’s first programme with SuperTech where they implemented digital solutions to solve complex challenges around data visualisation, automated underwriting and chatbots in collaboration with fintechs.

Commenting on the Connector Series event, Chief Customer Officer at BNP Paribas Personal Finance, Richard Newland, said: “We are delighted to be part of the innovation ecosystem here in the West Midlands and we’re especially delighted to be partnering with SuperTech during Birmingham Tech Week for an AI speed-networking event.

“The Connector Series, which transforms great ideas into reality, will help us accelerate our big ambitions for growth and we can’t wait to see what innovative ideas, products and services the companies propose in relation to AI to help us turbo-charge our business.”

Commenting on the announcement, Hilary Smyth-Allen, Executive Lead at SuperTech, added: “All the evidence shows that innovation best practice, particularly around building an innovative culture, requires businesses to actively make time to explore beyond their boundaries. With this purposefully designed event in Birmingham Tech Week, BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK is making this happen in a way that is equally valuable for both the company and the participating SMEs.”
