CELEBRATING OUR 2024 ACHIEVEMENTS!

2024-12-20 12:19:42.0

2024 has been a great year here at BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK — full of innovation, collaboration and successes across the business.

As we head into the new year, we’ve been reflecting on our key moments throughout the year that deserve recognition, highlighting the incredible work happening across all departments.

Welcoming new talent to the business

Earlier this year, we welcomed Alexandre Marie as our Head of Motor and Andrew Brameld, transitioned into the role of Chief Commercial Officer. These new roles enable colleagues to bring their extensive experience to further strengthen the motor and commercial branches of the business.

Andrew shared: “Since stepping into my role as Chief Commercial Officer, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside our incredible commercial team, all of whom share the same vision of being a force for positive change and accelerating our mission of being partners in growth.

I’m excited about the continued progress we’ll make together, and the opportunity to further empower our partners, drive innovation, and deliver even greater value for our customers.”

Driving growth

As a leader in retail finance, we support partners by offering, responsible, flexible ways for their customers to spread purchase costs. We focused on using new data and tools to extend financing to more customers and have continued to invest in customer journeys to boost conversions. New partnerships remain a priority, highlighted by our recent collaboration with Oak Furnitureland.

Another major milestone for our motor finance team has been our expansion into the leisure market with new finance solutions for touring caravans.

This year, we’ve collaborated with leading industry partners to provide responsible and accessible finance solutions for a broader range of touring vehicles, enabling customers to invest in products that improve their quality of life.

This expansion is a key part of our ongoing commitment to becoming a leading provider of finance in the leisure market, delivering comprehensive and dependable finance solutions to dealers and brokers.

2024 has also been a period of significant growth in developing and enhancing our loans proposition; both directly with customers.

With many great opportunities to come, we look forward to continuing to support all our partners, and welcoming more, as we head into 2025.

Launching into the new car sector with OMODA and JAECOO in UK

A key highlight for our motor finance team this year was launching our partnership with OMODA & JAECOO UK, offering flexible and reliable finance solutions for its entry to the UK.

The two sub-brands are part of Chery, one of China’s largest automotive manufacturers, and together, they rank among the fastest-growing automotive brands worldwide. To celebrate this collaboration, we had the privilege of showcasing three of their new cars in our offices, giving our teams an up-close look at the innovative vehicles we’re helping to bring to the UK market.

This exciting opportunity has strengthened our presence in the automotive industry, enabling us to support an even wider network of dealers. We look forward to seeing this partnership continue to grow in 2025 and it will be a key part of our aspiration to help consumers transition to electric vehicles.

The Innovation Lab — 17 weeks of innovation and collaboration

This year’s incubator programme, The Innovation Lab, has been a great success. In collaboration with SuperTech WM and STEAMhouse, we invited eight fintech organisations to solve a real-life challenge effecting the financial services sector.

After 17 weeks of collaboration, we trialled four innovative solutions with customers via the myCreation app. This includes Furbnow’s Home Energy Check Tool, CarCloud for managing car expenses in one place, Inicio’s virtual agent Budgie for affordability support, and Paylow for automating recurring expenses. This initiative is just one example of our ongoing commitment to driving innovation within our business and across the financial services sector.

In 2025, we will be exploring a new business challenge, with a focus on harnessing the potential of Generative AI.

Reaching 1.2 million users on the Creation App and a 5-star Trustpilot rating

Since the launch of our Creation Finance App, we are pleased to announce that we have reached a significant milestone this year by achieving 1.2 million customers using our App.

Designed to make managing finances simple, convenient and give customers access to offers from our partners, the App highlights our ongoing commitment to thinking customer 1st and prioritising their needs at every level.

An additional highlight from this year is that we have achieved a 5-star rating on Trustpilot. This rating comes from customer feedback, which is a further reflection of our dedication to putting customers first, ensuring that everything we do is focused on meeting their needs and exceeding their expectations.

Making a positive impact

As part of the BNP Paribas ‘1 Million Hours 2 Help’ campaign, we encourage colleagues to dedicate one day of their working year to volunteering and supporting meaningful causes in our local communities.

This year, we were proud to see so many team members stepping up to make a difference. Whether it’s our data and analytics team improving waterways for wildlife with the Canal and River Trust, colleagues delivering lessons on sustainable finance to students in local schools as part of our partnership with Teach First, or our executive team volunteering with 1st Solihull Scout Group these are just a few examples of the incredible efforts our colleagues have made to give back.

A Breath of fresh AIR !

As we look ahead to 2025, we are excited to be moving into our AIR building !

In January, we will be relocating our UK headquarters to a 25,000 sq. ft office space at AIR Solihull. This move represents our ongoing commitment to being an integral part of the Solihull community while continuing to lead in innovation within the Midlands.

This move is a significant milestone in our 50-year journey and will provide a space that fosters innovation, collaboration, and colleague well-being. It will enable us to further advance our environmental goals by reducing the impact of our office space.

Stephen Hunt, CEO BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK, said: “These achievements didn’t happen by chance. They’re the result of the passion, dedication, and imagination all of our colleagues bring to our business. I’m immensely proud of what we’ve accomplished together, and I’m positive about what lies ahead as we continue to innovate, push boundaries, and collaborate to make our products and services even stronger for our customers and partners.”

Thank you to everyone who played a part in our achievements in 2024. Here’s to continuing this journey and making even more progress next year…
