With 22 incredible years of experience with the team, we’re celebrating Andrew Barker, who is helping drive the phenomenal growth of our business in his new role of Partner Experience Lead. His dedication has already inspired a great number of our colleagues, as well as thoroughly enhanced our retail finance offering and we expect this ripple effect to continue to grow.
This year we presented Andrew Barker with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Be the Difference celebrations. To mark the occasion, we caught up with Andrew and his team to discuss the impact he’s had at BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK.
The results of continued commitment
Andrew joined BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK in its infancy and quickly progressed into the leadership team. He became the Director of Point of Sale in 2016 and has recently settled as our Partner Experience Lead. As a longstanding colleague, Andrew has had a hand in almost every client signing since 2006, which has helped build the client portfolio to what it is today.
Andrew’s commitment, and drive match up seamlessly with the DNA of the company, both as a partner in growth and with the company’s ambitions and goals. He has knowledge and genuine interest in our client’s industries helping us to provide the best service and maintain long, healthy relationships.
Adam Sanderson, Head of Business Development at BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK, has been working closely with Andrew for the past eight years. He shares: “Andrew’s honesty and drive inspire everyone in the team. The fact that many people have been along the same journey and longevity as him is a testament to how he truly embodies the values and ambitions of the company.”
A lifetime of achievement
With over two decades of commitment, we were thrilled to credit Andrew for the part he is playing in the growth and success of the team, by presenting him with a Lifetime Achievement Award. As someone who doesn’t love the spotlight, he was happy to receive the award modestly.
Commenting on the award, Andrew states: “I’m very proud of what we’ve done. I could not have done this without the team around me; it would have been impossible. I firmly believe success is built by surrounding yourself with good people, so I will continue to have always looked to grow the best team possible.”
Andrew continues to support the business in his new role as Partner Experience Lead where he is responsible for the development and delivery of the partner experience strategy. Along with his team, he will be continuing to strive towards company visions and ensuring our personal finance team is delivering the best partnership experience possible.
