At BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK, our people are our greatest asset – but we know that a strong people strategy is about more than colleague engagement and wellbeing, it’s about driving business success.
That’s why we’re delighted to welcome Jodie Bromley as our new Chief People Officer — a key appointment that reinforces our commitment to building a culture where every colleague feels valued, supported, and empowered to perform their best.
Jodie brings a wealth of experience in HR and people strategy, having worked in senior leadership roles across the financial sector. Her expertise spans talent attraction and retention, organisational change, diversity and inclusion, and employee wellbeing — all of which are invaluable as Jodie steps into her new role at BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK.
Vision and focus
As Chief People Officer, Jodie is particularly passionate about fostering a workplace where we attract and retain brilliant people and provide them with the tools required to give the best performance.
By embedding the right structures, frameworks, and processes, she will enable colleagues to thrive, ensuring their growth is aligned with the company’s strategic goals and accelerates business results.
Jodie is focused on ensuring that BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK remains a great place to work by creating opportunities for growth, enhancing colleague engagement, and championing an environment that supports both individual careers and wider business success.
Jodie shared: “My role is about driving business success by creating the conditions where people can perform at their best. When colleagues feel valued, see clear career progression opportunities, and are well-rewarded, they are more engaged and motivated, which directly impacts the overall success of our company.”
Commitment to people and growth
Since stepping into her new role, Jodie has been working closely with teams across the business to gain insights, listen to feedback and develop initiatives that drive real impact – both for individuals and for BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK as a whole. She is passionate about ensuring that colleagues’ voices are heard and play a role in shaping the organisation’s future.
Jodie shared that when she first read the job description for this opportunity, she instantly knew it was the perfect fit — describing it as if it had been written for her. It’s this enthusiasm and passion for people-centric change that makes Jodie such an exciting addition to our leadership team.
Jodie explained: “For me, creating a sense of shared belonging and inclusivity is crucial. The way to achieve that is by supporting and listening to people — not just as colleagues, but as individuals. That means recognising and addressing their physical, mental, and financial wellbeing.”
By embedding a strong people-first approach, Jodie will play a crucial role in ensuring our colleagues have the tools, opportunities, and support they need to succeed. A key part of Jodie’s vision is fostering a “one-team” culture, which will not only be reflected in their physical surroundings at our new AIR office but also in the way we work together every day.
What’s next?
In the coming months, Jodie will be engaging with colleagues at all levels to further develop and implement strategies that strengthen our business through people. Her leadership will be instrumental in shaping a culture where colleague performance and engagement, and commercial success go hand in hand.
We’re excited to have Jodie on board and look forward to seeing the positive changes she will bring to life at BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK!
