MOMENTS OF CELEBRATION FROM 2021

With 2022 just around the corner, we’ve been taking a look back at our stand-out moments of celebration from the past year and reflecting on some of the amazing achievements and successes of BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK team members across the business.

Being named as a Top Employer

We started the year with a bang when we were named as a Top Employer for 2021 by the Top Employers Institute.

Our commitment to being a role model company and employer was reflected in the feedback from the judging panel, and we are especially proud of the work we’ve done this year to take care of our colleagues’ mental wellbeing while navigating the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Strengthening our commitment to Diversity & Inclusion

2021 also saw us launch our seventh diversity and inclusion network, the Early Careers Network, to help young people starting off in their careers have a voice and access learning and development opportunities.

Creating an inclusive and welcoming workplace where people can be themselves is a really important part of our culture, and our newest network complements our existing Diversity & Inclusion networks, which include Pride, Women in Business, Multicultural Empowerment, Health and Wellbeing, Disability and Helping Hands.

Helping young people to achieve their potential

Supporting young people is a key part of our CSR commitments, and this year we were named as Cornerstone Employer by the Careers & Enterprise Company in recognition of the work we’re doing to make a positive impact in the region.

As a major employer in the West Midlands, we’re passionate about creating opportunities for young people, and as well as offering a wide range of entry level opportunities we also work closely with local charities and educational organisations to help improve careers education.

Reducing our environmental impact

In November this year the eyes of the world were on Glasgow as global leaders came together to discuss the climate crisis at COP26. And at BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK, we’ve also been busy doing our bit to reduce emissions and support the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

As part of our commitment to promote more responsible and sustainable consumption, we’ve been actively engaging with our colleagues, clients and other key stakeholders to help enable access to greener products such as energy saving home improvements.

Making a positive impact in our local community

As part of our group-wide ‘1 Million Hours 2 Help’ campaign, we’ve pledged to donate a collective one million hours of our time to charitable causes. And it was great to see so many team members from across the business get involved in the programme this year.

This month, our Insurance Premium Finance teamed up with our partners Love Brum to spread some festive cheer when they helped a local charity to give their office space a much-needed makeover.

Volunteering initiatives like this are just one of the many ways that we’re giving back to our local communities and striving to make a positive impact.
