At BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK, we’re always on the lookout for new ways to invest in our local community and make a positive impact by driving innovation. So, we’re very excited to share news of our latest partnership with the UK’s first supercluster for professional and financial services tech, SuperTech, also based here in the West Midlands.
As part of our pledge to be a role model company and employer, we are committed to driving positive change in our local area, and this latest partnership complements BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK’s agenda to be forward-thinking and help shape a brighter future for the region.
SuperTech facilitates collaboration between emerging SMEs in the local area, and larger industry and corporate professionals. Their matchmaking abilities mean that smaller businesses establish a key degree of visibility in their sector, while larger corporations are able to get a fresh perspective on their established ways of working.
At BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK, we’re so excited to be joining SuperTech on this journey and utilising our industry expertise to drive innovation, collaboration and growth in the Midlands.
Commenting on the value of this partnership, BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK CEO, Stephen Hunt, says:
“I am a big supporter of what SuperTech is trying to achieve. I think that connecting the growing tech community with established businesses like ours is a great initiative.
“Like many businesses in our sector, we are focussed on finding better ways to manage our business and support our customers, and I look forward to seeing if there are organisations in the West Midlands that can help with this task.”
Part of SuperTech’s agenda is to promote local growth, and the organisation is built on the belief that when we share knowledge and insights with each other, everyone benefits in the long term. Through the SuperTech ‘Connector Series’, participants can meet with leading industry figures to gain insight and expand their network within a variety of sectors including legal, HR, finance and many more.
As part of this of this programme, participants have the opportunity to attend a series of one-hour meetings which provide SMEs with direct access to senior business professionals across the West Midlands. Established during the coronavirus pandemic, the series has taken on a virtual format with sessions happening via Zoom, providing increased accessibility.
Covering a breadth of topics, the Connector Series has provided an innovative way for attendees to connect with like-minded professionals and local talent. They can also build key relationships with individuals in similar sectors that can lead to a deeper understanding of business solutions and potentially even collaborations in the future.
Hilary Smyth-Allen, Executive Lead at SuperTech, says:
“We are so excited to be partnering with a leading West Midlands based business like BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK, and it’s been great to see the way that individuals across the company have engaged with the programme and the SMEs we work with.
“With BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK on board, we will be able to make an immense impact with this project, and hope to demonstrate how collaboration can accelerate growth for all those involved.”
